How to Turn Off Your Location Data in Twitter

When you use Twitter, you don’t want to give away your location from your Tweets. Here’s how to switch off location data and retrospectively remove location data from your tweets.

To switch off location data you need to login to Twitter from your web browser (it won’t work from a mobile app) and go to Settings and Privacy > Privacy and safety. Under “Tweet Location” uncheck the box, and click the “Delete location information” button to apply the changes retrospectively.

This short video from the Family Online Safety Institute shows just how to do it.
